BOAT MATTRESS HINGE
Our company is an expert custom boat manufacturer specializing in boat beds that not only provide comfort and support but also convenient functionality for on board use. Many boats benefit from a boat mattress that includes a Hinge (fold) for storage or AC that is under the mattress platform berth. A mattress hinge is customer optional for desired preference and does not come standard. We can gladly include a Hinge at no extra cost if you select "Yes" for the Hinge option when placing your order. Many of our boat mattress templates state the Hinge placement and if not, we can easily confirm placement with each customer.
Our Hinge method is updated and built for longevity without sacrificing comfort. The top layer is one surface piece so you don't see or feel the Hinge from the top. The Hinge starts at 2"-3" under the top of the mattress to allow for optimal comfort without feeling a seam or separation. The hinge is hand sewn and handcrafted by our skilled production team for durability and function.

BOAT MATTRESS BEVELS & ANGLES
Many boat mattresses include a layout where the main mattress on board is located in the Forward Berth also known as the V-Berth. This means the boat mattress requires bevels/angles where it takes the shape of the hull and the sides flare out resulting in the boat bed mattress being larger at the top versus the platform to utilize maximum sleeping surface on board. In purchasing an upgraded boat mattress, we highly recommend a marine-friendly mattress designed for the marine environment. Our boat mattresses include a Marine Vinyl bottom for protection against mold, mildew or any build up between your mattress and platform where moisture is most likely to occur. The marine vinyl bottom repels moisture for easy to clean maintenance.
