boat mattress INSTALLATION GUIDE
*Please follow the instructions below to safely unbox, handle and install your new Comfort Boat Mattress. Be sure to read all instructions before beginning.
Materials You May Need:
- Rope or a Bungee Cord
- Helper (Highly recommended)
- Gloves (optional)
Procedure:
Step 1: Safely Unboxing the Mattress
1. Position the box in an open area where you have enough space to unbox and maneuver the mattress.
2. With your hands, gently remove the tape securing the box. Do not use sharp objects like box cutters, knives or scissors to avoid damaging the mattress and bedding.
3. Gently tip the box onto its side and slowly slide the mattress out onto a clean, soft surface.
Step 2: Checking the Contents
1. Before discarding the box, make sure to check that you've removed all the contents. This may include bedding, care instructions, warranty information, or other materials.
2. Verify that you received your mattress undamaged.
Step 3: Preparing the Mattress for Installation
1. Carefully remove only the bubble wrap protection wrapped around the boat mattress.
2. Please keep the plastic bag on the mattress to keep your mattress clean during handling & installation.
3. Stand the mattress upright. Hold the top corners and gently fold the mattress in half lengthwise, taking care not to force or crease the mattress excessively.
4. Once folded, secure the mattress with a rope or bungee cord to keep it in this half-folded position for easy handling. Make sure the rope or cord is tied snugly, but not too tight to damage the mattress.
Step 4: Maneuvering the Mattress to the Boat
1. Carefully carry the secured mattress to your boat. This step will be easier with the assistance of another person.
2. The flexible design of our boat mattresses allows it to bend and be maneuverable through narrow entryways and doorways on board. Carefully navigate the mattress through the boat, being mindful of tight corners where the mattress is able to compress to get by.
Step 5: Installing the Mattress
1. Once you have navigated to the designated cabin, carefully untie the rope or bungee cord and let the mattress unfold.
2. Carefully remove the tape on one end of the mattress and slide off the plastic bag.
3. Position the boat mattress on the platform. Adjust it as necessary to fit the berth in the center to allow for the perfect fit with maximizing sleeping surface and bedding allowance.
